I have been creating similar feminine images to this since the 90's.  This one is a bit suggestive.  I worked and played with in photoshop until this image showed up.  I like it.  Hope that you like it.

This lovely woman named Spring, is bedecked with beautiful flowers.  She is swaying gracefully in a vintage forest.  Her hand gestures towards the cat.  Everything is beautiful, except for the Cheshire Cat.  That Cat!  The image of the trickster signifies all the dirty tricks that life bestows.  Is he evil?  Maybe, maybe not.  He is the one throwing glitches at earthlings everyday.  I, you, can blame the trickster.  When your bad thumb pushes the wrong button on the clicker, blame the Cheshire Cat.  When I get confused and cook the recipe wrong,  the Cheshire Cat made me do it.  When one is called into the managers office for an anal evaluation, and things do not go well, that is definitely the Cheshire Cat playing annoying tricks. 

I found the inspiration for this image on FaceBook. Someone, I wish that I could remember who, posted a series of vintage photos from about a hundred years ago.  I worked the image up in photoshop.  Lots of fun adding color and making flowers.  The original image had a rabbit, which I replaced with the Trickster Cat, adding a dash of irony, to spice things up.

How long did that freeze last?  The Louisiana record freeze of 2021?  About five days of freezing weather,  below 32, some nights 26 degrees F.  Here in the subtropics, we felt like we were in Alaska.  Then one day, the ice was melting.  The ice cycles were dripping.  I looked up to a vivid cobalt blue sky and saw a leafless tree sparkling with a million diamonds.  I was amazed at the beauty.  I went for my camara, the battery was dead.  By the time the battery revived the ephemeral beauty was gone.  But, the image was engraved in my head.  So, I made this digital painting.

The brilliant colors in this art work depict a contrast between the natural pattern of the tree and the geometrix pattern of the diagonal lines.  This recent work continues a long stream of creations, spanning  many decades.  I follow my muse, she dances around, leading me on paths that diverge and reemerge between my favorite subjects.  

A joyful, life affirming creation that expands my happiness and the joy of those who follow my work.
