"Team A+J" made this wonderful video showcasing my art work. I am a bit camera shy, but they made me comfortable being filmed. The video shows my art storage building which holds 50 years of art works. They also filmed my studio and some of our country property. A-ron and Jennifer are friendly and positive people. I enjoyed spending time with them.

I dont know what to say about her. Read her face. I dont know what to call the style of her face. Maybe it is pOp style, but the image is too serious for pOp. There are flat shapes of color on her face, defining her structure.
Most of my art lately has been digital. I still work with actual paints occasionally. In these two pictures, you can see that I have used the same face with different surrounds. I have also used the flower border in other pictures.
The different digital elements can be reused many times. I work hard on the elements. Maybe it took me a week to make the face. A week on the flowers. Combine various elements. Some more time to make several variations. Then I choose my faves from the variations to convert to print and web ready files.
My three Egrets have flown into several pictures. I need to make some more before they get worn out.
I post to this blog. I post to Saatchi Art, where the art may be purchased. I have a Janet Boyd Art page on Face Book. Occasionally I post on the Pinterest platform.
If you want to commission a painting similar to any digital work that I post, then contact me via Inbox (1,742) - lunazure101@gmail.com - Gmail (google.com) I would really love to paint this on canvas.

I am a woman with spiritual leanings. I create beautiful women with layers of meaning. The figures are not only beautiful in body, but I also hope to convey a depth of spirit. I want to show my idealistic dreams of feminine existence, of being an excellent female earthling.
The background pattern, with a network of energetic lines forming circles, relates to the interconnectedness of everything in the universe. The figure is impressionistic style, the head dress is rather art deco, and the egrets are realistic. I like a mixture of styles.
This image was created in photoshop, a program that I have been using since the late 90's. The art is available as a fine art print on Saatchi Art. If you would like to commission a giclee, or an NFT, or an acrylic painting then message me. lunazure101@gmail.com
The colors are rich and harmonious. It will make a dramatic accent piece in your home. I think that it will give you inspiration and pleasure for many years.
DESIREY WITH THREE EGRETS
DISIREY WITH EGRET EYES
DISIREY WITH FLOWERS
digital, limited edition of 50 archival prints, potential acrylic painting
file #220623, ect.
This is a recently completed series. A beautiful woman with her head in the clouds, but you can tell by her compelling eyes, that she is not an air head. These are digital, photoshop creations that make wonderful prints and I might use them as guides for acrylic or oil on canvas or paper.
One of the cool things about photoshop is that you can reuse elements in different pictures. I used the same face in three different iterations. I have used two of the egrets in other pictures and created a new egret, the one folding her wings in flying motion. The flowers are also recently created. I will most likely use them again.
It is rather difficult for me to write about my art work, because it is visual not verbal. For me there is work in converting the visual to the verbal. I really love these pictures. I am pleased with myself that I have developed art skills over many decades. I aim for beauty. The beauty of harmonious rich color. I aim for depth, for layers of meaning. I want to create pictures worth a thousand words.
Maybe, these images are about transcending the toe stubbing on a rock pains, that often leave us hopping around and groaning. Maybe, I paint in order to distract my self. To give myself an activity that gives me pleasure and lightens the heavy loads of life. I also want to communicate my inner desires (Deisrey) for harmony with other Earthlings..
I want to make images that give YOU pleasure and depth over the long haul. Images where you can find joy and meaning whenever you look at them over a period of time.
A soft, sad, but hopeful woman with a peace dove over her third eye. Enough said. I dont want to start ranting about the stupidity of Earthlings continually killing each other.
TO THE MOON AND BACK, I love you!
This picture started when I wanted to create a bird with bright colors and flowing lines. The lines indicate the flying motion of the bird as it ascends in the sky. I created the bird, then played around searching for the right background. I liked the moon and circles for the context of ascension. Then I realized that the title of the picture should be TO THE MOON AND BACK. What a fun concept.
The colors are rich and harmonious. I made the sky a deep, deep blue, one of my favorite colors. Purple and medium blue light circles appeared as I played with shape and color. Then green trees were added to indicate elevation from solid ground, ascension to heaven via feelings of love.
Created April,2022. Digital, archival prints available from Saatchi. Similar acrylic painting may be commissioned, message me. lunazure101@gmail.com
This is an inspiring picture that will spark a bit of delight when you hang it on a wall. Or it would make a great gift for a loved one.

Here is another Three Graces, from classical antiquity. They represent charm, beauty and grace. Completed today, 4/22/22.
I want to go on a moon light sail on gently waving waters. Lull me off to dream land. Escape the bull shit storms coming from our media fear tubes.
But, reality beacons, the skull reminds us that life is short.
The painterly style of the skull is a newish style of painting for me. I follow my muse. That bitch, she says, "You like sinuous lines, like art nouveau, paint gently curving lines." Then she gets bored and wants something new. "Paint jaggedly lines, jutting about, exciting energy lines." OK, that sounds like fun. Call it Jitterbug style. So I paint, mostly doing photoshop, I paint pictures with a variety of brush styles. A bit of art nouveau, some impressionism, some flat planes, realism, surrealism, what ever, all mixed together in the same picture. THEY, you know who they are, the "experts" who say "find your style and stick to it". How boring is that?
OK, that is enough rattling about for me, I will sign off now.
Have a wonderful day. I think that I will meditate on this hibiscus moon light sail. Do some gardening, the weather is sunny. Take a break from distressing reality.

Passion Woman

Passion Flower, genus passifloraceae, grows almost all over the world. It grows wild here, in Washington Parish, Louisiana. I am delighted when I find it blooming and fruiting on a tangled vine. The name "passion" refers to the passion of Christ in Christian mythology.
The flower is complicated. I had to study the multiple layered parts in order to create these pictures. It is not like a simple daisy that can be painted with ten quick brushstrokes. I enjoyed learning about the unusual parts and creating these pictures.
Passion flower is a favorite of pollinators, bees and hummingbirds. Seeing hummingbirds flying around and sipping on the flowers makes my day. The leaves and roots have a long history of medicinal usage for anxiety and sleep. It makes a delicious fruit.
Inspiration for the woman's face is Audrey Hepburn, one of the most elegant women of all times.
Prints may be ordered from Saatchi on line.

Leda and the Swan
digital, archival prints, 2/22

This painting is based on the ancient Greek myth about Zeus, the king and father of mythological gods and goddesses. Zeus fell in love with the earthling Leda. Zeus transformed himself into the image of a swan in order to seduce the queenly woman. Leda became pregnant and laid two eggs which hatched two children from each egg, for a total of four children. Her children were historically active in Greek and Roman history.
This fascinating myth has been portrayed by countless artists throughout the centuries. The artists include the great masters, Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. This is my humble contribution to the stream of art illustrating this enduring myth. I will not tell the entire story here, but it is worth googling to learn the ancient myth.
She is in a dreamy trance. She is tranquil and peaceful. Is she thinking of her lover? Is she dreaming of a garden that she wants to create with rampant wisteria and dragonflies dancing in the air? Is she meditating and lifting her consciousness? What do you think? Your guess is as good as mine.
Here are two versions of the picture, a digital creation and an acrylic painting.
Invite her into your home, where she will remind you to create dreams.
Go to my Saatchi site to purchase, prints start at $60.00
TRIPLE SKULL is an unusual creation of three skulls merged together. I was inspired by the concept, just thinking that I would create something unusual. I enjoyed combining the skulls in a cohesive image.
This picture may relate to many historical concepts of the triple attributes of gods and goddesses throughout the ages. There are many deities that have three faces, indicating the different aspects of the deities. The Christian God has three aspects, God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. Shiva, a Hindu God has three faces. Many Goddesses are attributed with three faces indicating the characteristics of the three ages of women; maiden, mother and crone. Three faced Goddesses were worshiped in Anatolia, ancient Greece and ancient Rome.
The deities are depicted with three faces, but, I haven't seen any other three faced skull pictures. The concept is intriguing, an inspiring conundrum.
